Niklitschek Beach

It is a beautiful beach, surrounded of nature and located to 7 Km.
of the city. It has a private beach, wharf, recreational activities,
jetty, soccer court, business, parking and a camping zone. |
Ensenada
 |
It is located to 46 Km. of Puerto Varas. It was a port
dedicated to the landing of tourists that went to Argentina
before the construction of the coastal road. Nowadays, is
the main tourist center of the oriental riverside of
Llanquihue Lake. It has a fine sand beach of 2.5 Km. of
extension and it has restaurants, camping zone and cabins. |
Playa
Hermosa

It is located on the riverside of Llanquihue Lake. It has a
soft slope, fine sands of gray color, its waters are
crystalline and during the summer time its temperature
oscillates between the 12ºC and the 18º C. It is
appropriated to practice swimming and water sports like
sport fishing, sailing and windsurf. Near to the beach a
camping zone is located that can be visited during the year. |
Loreley Island

Traveling across the route that begins in the seaside of
Puerto Varas, in the route to Ensenada, you go to La Poza, a
beautiful lagoon located between cliffs and exuberant
vegetation. It has a service of boat trips that allows to
travel the lagoon and to visit the Loreley Island. In the
zone it can be practiced the sport fishing |
Saltos del Petrohué
 |
The Petrohué River is the origin of those singular
waterfalls. The river runs among big masses of hard lava,
formed by smaller stones united with vitreous material that
are visible. They were originated from crystallized lava
that smashed to bits during the Cold era and then it was
soldered for a new layer of lava. The area where the
waterfalls are located is part of the Vicente Pérez Rosales
National Park. |
Lago Todos los Santos
 |
It is located to 18 Km. of
Puerto Varas and to 82 Km. to the northeast of Puerto Montt.
It has an extension of 175 Km² and 36 Km. of lenght, it is
also known as Esmeralda because of the color of its water
(emerald colour). The
Todos los Santos Lake has a
volcanic origin, because the lava of the Osorno volcano
created the barrier in the valley and it deviated to Ralún
the waters of the Petrohué River that drained in the
Llanquihue Lake.
It is surrounded of coigües forests,
ulmos, tepas, tineos and olivillos forests moreover the
Osorno volcano, Puntiagudo volcano and Tronador volcano. In
the highlanders are the forests of lenga. |
Near of the lake there are mammals like the pudú, pumas, foxes,
huillín or river otter and the quique. They are Chilean species of
marsupials as the trompuda weasel and monito del monte. The most
important birds are the huala, quetro duck, correntino duck,
kingfisher, traro, small picaflor, black carpintero, caiquén, common
tagua and eagles
Osorno Volcano Ski Center

The ski center is
located to 1.672 meters of the Osorno volcano, into de
Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park and distant to 62
kilometers of Puerto Varas.
From the top of
the volcano you can appreciate the basin of the Llanquihue
Lake, the Calbuco volcano and a part of the Petrohué River. |
It has twelve runs of
different grades: easy, medium, difficult and expert. It has two ski
lifts that allow you arrive until the 1.672 meters; there are a ski
school, snowboard and snowbus.
You can trek at the foot of the Andes, where there is a ski shop,
first-aids kits and cafeteria. There are also Entel and Smartcom
wireless phones. “It is open during year". At slow ski time,
there are another kind of activities: outings, trekking, “tyrolese”,
climbing, etc
Las Cascadas

It is a village with 700 habitants
located at the riverside of the Llanquihue Lake, at foot of
the Osorno volcano. There are vacation houses, beaches,
camping zone. Moreover, there are daily buses to Osorno
city. |
Perez Rosales bordering line
 |
This bordering line is 120 Km. of Puerto Varas, running
across Ruta 5 to Ensenada. There are 16 Km. to Todos los
Santos Lake. You can practice rafting to 50 Km. of Todos los
Santos Lake. There are 26 km. from Peulla to the bordering
line. You can go to Argentina by Puerto Frías, on the west
of the Nahuel Huapi Lake. |
Río Puelo

From Puerto Varas you will be able to
come closer to Puelo by the road that connects Ensenada and
Cochamó. From there it is possible the access to El Paso by
footpaths, fluvial and lacustrine rafting.
By El paso you can go to Argentina. You have to walk by its
northern coast to find the village Puelo Lake. By this route
you can access to E l Bolsón. |
Peulla
 |
It
is a small village that has lodging services, feeding,
customs office, international police (INTERPOL) and
first-aids center. En this place it is possible to
appreciate an abundant vegetation and waterfalls.
From here you can hike to beautiful
places like Pangue House, Peula River, Brazo del Río
Esperanza and Cayutúe Lake.
From Peulla you go to Puerto frías by
car, where you find the customers office to enter to
Argentina.
You are changed in a boat to arrive to Puerto Alegre, place
connected by car with Puerto Blest. It is a beautiful place
located on near of the Nahuel-Huapi Lake. When you transfer
the boat you can arrive to Puerto Pañuelo o Playa Bonita,
which are near of San Carlos de Bariloche. This bordering
line is one of the most beautiful and tourist of the Andes. |
Velo de la Novia Waterfall

The Velo de la
Novia Waterfall is located onthe Peulla area to 76 km. of
the northwest of Puerto Varas. It is one of the meaning
focuses of the zone, which is surrounded of a leafy
vegetation. You can access to this waterfall by a footpath
of 250 mts.

if the lovers drink three sips of the water of The Velo de
la Novia Waterfall faithfully and hopefully, they will get
