Puerto Varas is located on 20km from Puerto Montt, the tourist city of the zone. It has beautiful gardens and many hotels and food. Moreover, you can see the Osorno Volcano and Calbuco Volcano near of the Llanquihue Lake.
You can know the “city of the roses” by its 12 houses that are national patrimony. If you want to know the city, use bikes and go to Phillipi Park and the Calvario Hill.

A great contribution to the history is the Nueva  Braunau Museum for the valuable content of the German colonists' antiques. The Municipality of Puerto Varas organizes every year more than 50 different events where the family and the tourist are the main focus. The mosy important activities are music, theater, cinema, the Day of the Kuchen, gastronomic samples, book fairies, among others.
