Ensenada/ Frutillar/ Todos los Santos/ Llanquihue/ Pque Vcte Pérez Rosales/ Pto Octay/ Pto Varas

 

It is located on 70 km. in northwest of Puerto Varas. It has 2.210 m². Length: 32 kms. Altitude: 190 m.s.n.m.

 

The most important characteristic is its deep green color of the water. It is surrounded of forests and snowy summits of the Osorno Volcano, Puntiagudo Volcano and Tronador Volcano. This city was discovered by Jesuit missionaries in 1670. By this lagoon you can go to San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina.  It is realized everyday in the year in a modern catamaran( 20 miles in 1:45 hours)

When the glaciers come back and the Osorno Volcano appeared, this lake was formed. It flows in the Petrohué Lake for going to Reloncaví estuary. The most important flowing is the Peulla River.
