Atacama and the Altiplano

The north of our country is an extensive desert,
defined by its aridity. On the west is surounded
by a coast of 2.000 km in the Pacific Ocean and
on the east the Altiplano is located. It is a
high tableland located on the Andes. The
Altiplano connects Chile with the mysteries of
the Andean cultures |

The
central zone is where the Chilean capital is
located: Santiago. Moreover, it is the
political, economical and cultural focus of the
country. It is a resting place geographically
and climatically in our long land.

its beautiful valleys, delicious Chilean wines
and a pleasant mediterranean climate that you
can feel between the Andes and the coast. |

Pacific Ocean are: Isla de Pascua, which has the
big “moais”, Robinson Crusoe Island, this name
was given in honour of the homonym shipwreck
person and Chiloé Island, which has many myths
and savage nature |
